PPDS partners with the Didacta Association to help drive positive change to education

PPDS has become a full member of the Didacta Association as part of its ongoing strategy to support and drive positive change for education using its advanced range of professional displays.

Set up in 1999, The Didacta Association - ‘the network for education’ - represents the interests of more than 260 companies and organisations in Germany and around the world, advocating the use of high-quality teaching and learning materials to promote the development of the education system and making education accessible to everyone.

As a trusted member, the partnership between PPDS and Didacta will help to further strengthen the company’s competitive position in the education market and to generate greater market awareness of its ever-growing portfolio of advanced, education-focused display solutions on both a national and international level, through a variety of means.

Benefits of this important partnership include (but are not limited to): participation on a number of Didacta committees; access to comprehensive sources of information; opening doors to overseas markets; extensive networking opportunities with leading bodies and decision makers in both the public and private sector; plus participation at specially arranged conferences and congresses (physical and digital).

The partnership will also see PPDS showcase its range of education display solutions at the ‘Didacta – die Bildungsmesse’ trade conference and exhibition (including training) – the largest trade fair for the education sector in Europe, held annually in Germany and attracting up to 1 million education professionals and more than 600 media representatives.

Frank Trossen, International Key Account Director PPDS, hailed the partnership with Didacta as being ‘perfectly aligned’ in the two organisations’ shared principles, aspirations and ambitions for supporting education on a global level. These include:

  • To make education available to everyone.
  • To open up new perspectives for education.
  • To address the education sector through a wide-ranging media network.
  • To promote dialogue with decision-makers and the education market.
  • To help ensure a quality provision for lifelong learning.

Rainer Bloch, Business Director DACH, PPDS, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have partnered with Didacta, as we both strive to achieve the same important goal. At PPDS, we see it as our responsibility to support the education industry and, more specifically, the teachers and students, by bringing products and solutions capable of positively transforming the classroom experience, both for today and for future generations.”

A competitive edge

For PPDS, one of the world’s fastest growing and influential providers of professional display technologies, this agreement is the latest phase of an enhanced focus and strategy for 2021 – with education being a core focus for the company. Utilising extensive market research, leading Philips displays and an enviable R&D team, PPDS is committed to bringing truly innovative and future proofed hardware/software solutions to market, with a clear focus on addressing and overcoming the traditional obstacles and frustrations that restrict the teaching and learning process.

Evidence of this strategy can already be seen clearly with the recent launch of its interactive Philips T-Line interactive touch screen range, designed to create more collaborative, inclusive and engaging education environments, opening up new opportunities, while addressing safety concerns around health, hygiene and absence through BYOD.

Rainer concluded: “We take education very seriously. Technology only serves a purpose if it improves the previous processes and solves existing problems. PPDS has spent a substantial amount of time to help solve some of the greatest obstacles in the classroom, addressing key issues around engagement, inclusivity and even absence, turning traditional static learning environments into incredible hives of activity in which everyone is involved – even those at home.

“Alongside Didacta, we’re playing our part in driving this market forward and communicating these benefits and opportunities to an even wider audience.”
