Going global at the inaugural PPDS GPA dinner
“Together we can accomplish the world”. That was the clear message from PPDS’ Head of Global Commercial, Franck Racape, as, together with Nico Vernieuwe, Senior Vice President at TPV, our parent company, and Simone Gagliardi, our International Key Account Director heading up the GPA, he welcomed over 100 of our Global Partner Alliance members to our exclusive event during ISE week in Barcelona.
The PPDS GPA is a ‘by invite’ strategic alliance, bringing the best businesses together globally to deliver seamless, proven solutions for large enterprises. All delivered with local market knowledge and qualified expertise.
On Tuesday 11 May 2022, the PPDS GPA came together for the very first time, and what better location than Pangea – the world’s largest travel store and a Philips partner – that take customers on a digital journey to destinations worldwide, to reconnect with our existing global members, and to welcome new members to the Alliance as well.
Speaking at the event, Franck said: “Creating a network of local SI heroes to cover the 200+ countries where Philips professional displays are operating was, from day 1, our North Star. With this event, we have embodied this strategy, offering a single point of contact, with global engagement, powered by working together as a team with all of you. These are the optimal conditions for global business.
“Add our global commercial terms, our new and evolutionary Wave cloud platform unlocking the power, versatility and intelligence inside Philips professional displays, and our premium warranty offered on a global scale, and we have the perfect ecosystem of innovative solutions.”
As well as the new PPDS Global Management team, the event also provided members with the first opportunity to meet the full PPDS International team together, including Frank Trossen, Peter Vinke, and Valeriia Polovkova.
Stevan Dragas, EMEA Digital Signage Segment Manager at Intel Corporation, also took the floor, offering us invaluable insight during his on the exponential growth of digital signage, as well as a comprehensive overview on Intel’s investment in Silicon Mega Fab in the coming years in order to help our industry through the ongoing chipset shortage crisis. Connectivity and user experience are becoming paramount, especially since “screens are appearing where they didn’t exist before, and the data generated is fantastic”. Working together to ensure that all angles, including inflection points, 5G, AI and edge explosion are covered, is key…and it's all a part of the fantastic journey we’re taking together as the PPDS Global Partner Alliance.
