Challenge
Building a brand new hotel, the team at The Chancery Hotel had the benefit of a blank canvas to create their vision. Their primary objectives? To create an unparalleled guest experience in Dublin’s highly competitive and bustling hospitality landscape. Blending cutting-edge technology with exceptional design, all while enabling seamless operations and a continuing commitment to sustainability.
Underpinning this was the integration of a state of the art TV system that would provide guests with an easy and intuitive menu interface, entertainment including a full choice of streaming, channels, and a wealth of apps, as well as hotel services and local information.
Finally, sustainability was a core principle for The Chancery Hotel, built into and influencing every decision – from choosing fixtures and fittings to approaching how the team wanted the hotel to function on a day-to-day basis.

Solution
The Chancery Hotel team chose the VDA Telkonet to support their vision with an audio visual solution that blended technology and service excellence. Reviewing the hotel TVs available on the market, Philips MediaSuite TVs more than matched the hotel’s requirements, delivering on best in class features and functionality, as well as energy efficiency.
Designed for flexible networking, the fleet of 150 MediaSuite TVs were installed into every guest room. Integrating seamlessly with VDA’s Micromaster room management system, this solution enabled the full control of in-room facilities, including lighting, HVAC, and blinds, further contributing to energy savings for the hotel. The combined solution also supported the hotel with an advanced guest management system, optimizing operational workflows.
