PPDS names Philips MediaSuite mastermind Jeroen Verhaeghe as new international business manager for hospitality

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips professional TV and digital signage products and solutions, is delighted to announce the promotion of Jeroen Verhaeghe to the global role of International Business Manager for hospitality.

Hailed by his colleagues as ‘Mr Pro TV’, Jeroen first joined the organisation – under its original name – back in 1998. During his esteemed career, Jeroen has held a number of important strategic and product management positions – most recently as International Product Manager for Professional TVs (2014-2021) – with each helping to shape and positively drive the business forward through his infectious desire to break down barriers and bring highly innovative and often ‘world-first’ solutions to market.

Clear evidence of this can be found with the highly acclaimed launch of the Philips MediaSuite Android hospitality TV range in 2019, for which Jeroen was the mastermind. The product – the first to include Chromecast built-inTM – took more than three years to develop and was one of EMEA’s best-selling pro TVs in 2020, with sales now surpassing 110,000.

As part of further strengthening to the hospitality team, Jeroen’s previous responsibilities, which included defining the company’s product roadmap, including features, design, screen sizes and working closely with the R&D team to bring them to market, will be absorbed into a wider team.

His new role as International Business Manager for Hospitality, will allow Jeroen to work even more closely with customers (channel and end users) across EMEA and North America – to better understand their needs, requirements and wants, while liaising closely with the PPDS product management team.

Based in Gent, home of PPDS state-of-the-art, product showroom, training and product development centre, Jeroen will report to Director International Business Development, PPDS, Martijn van der Woude.

Martijn van der Woude added: “Jeroen and his team introduced a truly world class product with Philips MediaSuite, bringing five-star quality and performance to tens of thousands of hotel rooms around the world. It would have been easy to simply launch a pro TV into the market and label it for hospitality, but at PPDS we like to do things differently.
